Derek Leedy
SVP, Client Services

In tandem with CEO David L. Smith, Derek Leedy sparks Mediasmith’s drive to reach a new threshold of leadership in digital media innovations. Responsible for overseeing Mediasmith’s internal team management and client strategy, Derek works with teams to develop the architecture of successful campaigns that incorporate the most effective mix of traditional, digital and emerging media. He is also involved in all aspects of the agency’s new business efforts, creative and media integration.

Since 1995, Derek Leedy has worked in media and marketing and has held management positions at both the agency and client side of the business. His expertise cuts across various sectors, including entertainment, consumer, B2B and non-profit accounts.

Derek has authored industry thought pieces and is a regular on the speaking circuit, including the AAAA Media Conference, OMMA Hollywood and the San Francisco chapter of the American Marketing Association. In addition, Derek was recently named an OMMA “Rising Star” and was awarded an Effie for advertising effectiveness in 2005.

He is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley.
